The gift of friendship is such a gift that I believe is so easy to take for granted. I know I have been guilty of this many times throughout my life.
After a weekend in Sunny California with just a few of my dear sister-friends, I feel blessed beyond words and so humbled to have such women in my life. No words, quotes, blog posts or set of pictures could fully express the love I have for these ladies and what they mean to me.
Many girls go through life without every truly knowing what it is to have, what I like to call, a sister-friend. Yes I was in a sorority in college and I have many sisters…but that’s not what I mean when I call these women my sister friends. Sister-friends know your strengths and weaknesses, they are with you when things get tough, they celebrate your proudest accomplishments without jealousy or comparison, they call you out when you are out of line, they crack a joke to wipe away the tears and most importantly they love you without condition.
With all the chaos that life can bring, it is so easy for us to get lost in the little annoyances of our closest relationships and the shortcomings that each of us are bound to face. It is weekends and moments like those of this trip to Cali that remind me how great I have it…and for that I am truly thankful.
